Is there any problem with having your e-commerce store on a subdomain, while using the www.yourdomain.com for, say, your blog or info site? Would it hurt the site in the search engines?
The answer is “this is absolutely nothing to be concerned about”. Using subdomains for e-stores is a common approach and perfectly OK. Feel free to go ahead.
