Ok, so you learned about PR-push strategies to channel PageRank only to pages that you want to compete in the SERPs.
But now you are facing a dilemma. Some keywords are so competitive that there is practically no chance of you being able to rank anywhere for a long, long time. Should you nofollow links to those pages, or exclude them with the robots.txt file or meta robots tag?
Personally, I believe you are overthinking this. If these are money pages we are talking about, I would leave them be. They might not rank for those super-competitive keywords, but they may rank for some obscure long tail keywords, you never even knew existed.
The bottom line is… if you exclude or nofollow a money page, you are likely leaving money on the table as the “saved” PageRank wouldn’t give you as much benefit as you are probably hoping for.
